Did you know that at the peak of summer temperatures you should be cleaning your nectar feeders every 3-4 days?

Let’s go step by step on how to thoroughly clean out your nectar feeders.

Step 1: Empty out the nectar from your feeder.

Step 2: Take apart all parts of the feeder.

Step 3: Rinse out the bottle and base with water.

Step 4: Take your Hummingbird Feeder Cleaning Brushes with soap and water and scrub the bottle and inside the feeding ports.

Step 5: Thoroughly rinse out the feeder.

Step 6: Close your sink or use a bucket and fill 1 part vinegar to 3 parts hot & soapy water. Put your feeder parts inside and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.

Step 7: After letting it sit, make sure to thoroughly rinse and set out to dry.

Step 8: Once your feeder is all dry, you can refill it with nectar and place it outside again!
