Did you know that at the peak of summer temperatures you should be cleaning your nectar feeders every 3-4 days?
Let’s go step by step on how to thoroughly clean out your nectar feeders.
Step 1: Empty out the nectar from your feeder.
Step 2: Take apart all parts of the feeder.
Step 3: Rinse out the bottle and base with water.
Step 4: Take your Hummingbird Feeder Cleaning Brushes with soap and water and scrub the bottle and inside the feeding ports.
Step 5: Thoroughly rinse out the feeder.
Step 6: Close your sink or use a bucket and fill 1 part vinegar to 3 parts hot & soapy water. Put your feeder parts inside and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
Step 7: After letting it sit, make sure to thoroughly rinse and set out to dry.
Step 8: Once your feeder is all dry, you can refill it with nectar and place it outside again!
